Originally released in 2019, the adidas Blackburn SPZL is back with updates to celebrate the SPZL 10th anniversary.

The idea for the updated Blackburn SPZL was to take the green/red/navy of the 2019 Blackburn SPZL and marry that with elements of the Ewood edition. SPZL's team broke the shoe down to see which elements (particularly the materials) could be changed without losing the essence of the shoe's established identity.

The tongue colour is changed from green to navy and the cotton laces are switched out for a sportier synthetic lace. The materialisation of the stripes is revised in flock. As a nod to the Ewood edition a gold foil print is used below the collar on each shoe. The right foot has the SPZL Mod Trefoil print and on the left shoe is a print of a rose.
